Here he comes the king of all that is and was and I just try to hold my tongue, anyway So feel it out and think that you might stick around If you really had a doubt, you won't say But I do and you cut through it was just a matter of time Now and then you should think about the mess you're in but you want only to pretend and there it is So get a clue 'cause you know who is using who and if you really want him to he might stay But you do and plans fall through it was just a matter of time So do you do you wanna dance?
2.
On and on and on, and you're trying to explain Everybody knows there was never much to say I'm beside myself with the thought that you became I shift my weight and yet every day just seems to be the same All that you know and the shit you always say You get what you deserve, I guess I deserve the blame I wish I was there but the body must remain I shift my weight until everything just seems to slip away Each and every one, I could put them into place I'll be around so you ought to know my name
3.
Waiting underneath the beechwood tree A flood of birds that fills the empty sky Where the northern shore belongs to me and I would go anytime Nobody is coming here trying to make you OK Thought I never wanted to I knew I would forget it all someday I fell a long way down I have known the lure of other worlds Things you see but never wonder why At the vespers' bell I search for them but in the dark I was blind

Cold Spring 03:18
You and me don't believe in love but secret thoughts that maybe showed Every time you tried to find out what you want you didn't know Everything you do it's always been wait and wonder why A stupid animal who doesn't know what was only passing me by A cold spring Now I see all of what I was could only be what I'd become If you can't sleep I could leave you wondering
6.
I wasted my days watering plants to watch them all die Now looking to you I guess I am glad that you're alright I still want you I still do Then somehow I give in I feel the weight of guilt rushing for me I know I was wrong and I was a fool thinking I could belong here
7.
Keeping the world at arm's length you'll be gone in a daylight has found us I never noticed as I ride through the park where the lights fill the dark city streets say you're coming home, any day now Watch what you say around her She's a way without words can be fleeting trust in your meaning Every time I can't stop won't you say what you want? I don't know, love coming home, any day now But we can't go back
8.
Bri's Theme 04:58
Come down to see you Speak now before I forget Call for me, I don't hear My lips like water You were the daughter cast out I will try to be true I know you'd want me to If I can wait for you I hope you'd want me to
9.
Let Me Down 03:48
You call on me when you need something for yourself I hear my name and wish for anybody else But you don't know about your happiness on loan and I'm still waiting on a dream that will never come I hoped you'd let me down I'd never have to talk out loud Days and days and days that never feel like home So burn your thoughts and hope that time won't pass too slow Do you still think about how I became withdrawn when I found out I could never be what I wanted
10.
Lost in lonely forests how the breath was cool and even in your lungs Dreaming in the darkness there the words were forming softly on your tongue and you said that something here was strange I fell formless in your memory Every part of me can tell I've never known what's good for me Things we tried to speak of then I look to you but I can't understand Waking in the morning now coming to the place where I begin to see that something here was strange I fell deep into the silent sea Everything that's clear will tell I've never known what's good for me
11.
Here Tonight 02:14
Here tonight I'm dreaming all upon what you've said Ever since my waking all these lights are lucid I know what you'll say Leave me here and drift astray Stop that time and watch my life decay Well alright it's not for me to say
12.
This Cloud 04:04
Well I felt alright I want to be sure I don't wanna say until I'm sure So I wait and see He doesn't have to know He doesn't have to know until you're gone I will cut through this cloud Get back to you, oh somehow I feel ashamed of what I am Could I be bored? There's always something more There's always something more that's bothering me So I wait and see I guess You wouldn't bide your time Now I know that I deserve this Well I felt alright but I'm a mess today and I don't wanna say 'till I'm sure

about

Null Life was recorded and mixed between March and August 2015 in my studio apartment. Which is to say a one room apartment, and not a studio that is also an apartment.

My heartfelt thanks goes to Justin, Patrick, Martin, Emily, Jason, Bill, Jessi, and Sara for their various contributions and encouragement.
